The HYPNOSIS List is an internet discussion forum privately owned and administered. It is co-sponsored by the International Society of Hypnosis (ISH), The American Society of Clinical Hypnosis (ASCH), and the Society of Clinical and Experimental Hypnosis (SCEH) and Is for qualified hypnosis professionals. HYPNOSIS is a non-moderated discussion list about hypnosis, research, and hypnotic treatments. It is intended for faculty members, licensed professionals, and researchers who are involved in the study and use of hypnosis.
The HYPNOSIS List exists to encourage an exchange of ideas, opinions, and information among researchers and clinicians who are interested in hypnosis and in the broader topics of suggestion and suggestibility. Subscriptions are restricted to university faculty; credentialed health care professionals (e.g., physicians, dentists, chiropractors, graduate-level psychologists, social workers, nurses, counselors); and graduate students in those disciplines. We also require formal training in hypnosis as a prerequisite for membership.
The site is hosted by the Information Center for Online Resources and Services, Inc. (ICORS),which is a non-profit hosting organization providing services to hundreds of online discussion groups.
